In order to begin LHR treatments you will need to stop tweezing 6 weeks before, during your treatments series and six weeks after. The best method is to shave the affected area. Some patients clip if they prefer not to shave.
When you arrive for your appointment:
- You will lie on the treatment table, depending on the area being treated you will be draped and the area cleansed and examined.
- You will be given a pair of Laser Glasses to protect your eyes.
- Gel will be placed on the area to be treated.
- A few test spots to ensure the correct amount of energy is going into the skin for best results.
- It will feel like a snap of an elastic with a bright light.
- Once treatment is completed gel is removed and a calming cream is applied along with an SPF.
